Nymph /nimf/ - noun
1. a mythological spirit of nature imagined as a beautiful maiden inhabiting rivers, woods, or other locations.
Daphne finding shade in a sun soaked laurel grove. Daphne means "laurel". Smells like fresh air and magic, clean, invigorating cypress and the slightly spicy smell of earth and herbs underfoot.
In Greek mythology, Daphne is a hot nymph who flips off Apollo (struck by an arrow from Eros) and would rather turn into a laurel tree than be with him. And she does.
Daphne is also closely associated with Artemis; she was inspired by the huntress' vow to remain unmarried and frolic in the woods forever.
